Anti-Tobacco Campaign To create awareness regarding the ills of Tobacco among students, guardians and the community the school students conducted various programs. The programs including art exhibition, art contest and rally in the neighborhood.
Girls Football The Second Brihaspati Silver Jubilee Open Girls Football tournament was organized with the School Compound. There was a total participation of 7 teams - St.Xavier 's, Little Angels, Snowland, Rato Bangla, Alok abd Brihaspati A and B teams. The tournament saw two days of great football and the eventual winners were Brihaspati A team.  
Hostel Night As per the tradition of the school, the Annual Hostel Night was organized just before the Dashain holidays. This year there was active participation by students from both the Boys and girls hostels.  
Lokopakar Melamchi Trip Lokopar group students visited a remote village in the Melamchi area for school coloring as well as donating books and clothes. There were a total of 30 students who organized this program with the help and active support of Brihaspati Alumni.

Secondary School

Secondary School is Brihaspati's oldest program running from its start. Secondary unit has classes Nursery to 10. Learn more about its program here.

Brihaspati's A Level program is in affiliation with the University of Cambridge, UK and recognition from Ministry of Education, Nepal Government. Learn more about it here.

Ten plus Two

Brihaspati's Ten plus Two is in affiliation with HSEB, Nepal Government. This program has been part of Brihapati from 1995. Learn more about it here.


Brihaspati Vidyasadan, the School, was established in 1985 AD. Since then it has grown to become one of the best schools in Nepal.The school is located in Naxal, Kathmandu, Nepal within the Balmandir compound and occupies over 160,000 sq.m of area (30 ropanis). The school is well facilitated with ample classrooms and recretional areas including 2 basketball courts, 1 football field, and seperate playground for small children. The school has 2 libraries and 2 computer labs. The school also houses FOSS Training and Research Center.

Currently Brihaspati runs classes from classes Nursery to 12 and the A Level program. In total there are over 1500 students currently studying in the school and over 1600 have already passed their SLC from the school.

Brihaspati, the name, is derived from Brihaspati, the Hindu Teacher of the Gods. Vidyasadan means place of learning. So the School's name literally means the place of learning of Brihaspati.


BVS Alumni

Brihaspati Alumni is the Alumni of ex-Brihaspati students. The Alumni was formed a few years back and has been promoting activities, by itself as well as in coordination with the school. Brihaspati Alumni recently held their annual party at Wongla Moskva. The Alumni, in coordination with the School and Lokopakar group, conducted donation drive, school coloring activities and books and clothes donation programs in Melamchi and in Pokhara.

Brihaspati encourages all ex-Brihaspati students to be a part of the Alumni and be a part of Brihaspati's history.
