eBarnamala

This is the official download page for eBarnamala. Its part of Brihaspati Vidyasadan School website.

eBarnamala was conceived as a play thing for small children.
The Programming effort was started exactly on 20th August, 2008, in Scratch first, and then onto Python.
Currently the downloads are available as binary for windows and source for all other platforms.
eBarnamala has been test on winxp (home and professional editions) and Ubuntu Linux 8.04.
eBarnamala is written in Python and requires wxPython and PIL (Python Imaging Library) for its operation.
It uses two fonts - Aalekh and Kalimati.

Binary - for Windows

Installation:
For Windows:
run the installation by double clicking on the msi file. Step through the installation process.
Goto to the start menu -> eBarnamala -> eBarnamala and click to start application.
If issue with fonts please check if Aalekh and Kalimati fonts are installed.

For Linux (Ubuntu):
Requirements:
Python 2.5 and higher (not checked with 2.6 or 3), wxPython 2.8.7 and higher, Pil 1.6
